Champ Camp
Young Adult Summit
The Getaway

Champ Camp is a week-long, residential summer camp experience for child burn survivors ages 5-17, who have been treated at California hospitals or are current residents of California.

The Young Adult Summit is weekend long retreat for burn survivors between the ages of 16 to 20. Each Presidents’ Day weekend since 1997, approximately 25 burn survivors gather at Ocean Pines in Cambria, California to share their stories and strength.

The Getaway is a three-day retreat in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains for adult burn survivors and their loved ones. Each year, approximately 120 burn survivors and their loved ones enjoy this experience over Labor Day weekend at Camp Oakhurst.

Regional Events
Supportive Services

Regional survivor events are scheduled throughout the year, and are open to burn survivors 5 to 17 years old. Weekend trips and activities allow burn survivors to feel supported in their journey.

AARBF supports over a 1,000 burn survivors and family members with a host of supportive services.

To help support school-aged burn survivors, AARBF provides Back-to-School presentations at the survivors’ school to ensure an environment of acceptance by talking about the physical and emotional ramifications of a burn injury.
