In an effort to educate our Subscribers, we would like you to be aware that Personal Data is defined as any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (known as a ‘data subject’). An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person. As a Subscriber, upon signing up for our digital newsletter, you have opted in to sharing your personal data with Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation. In doing so, you have granted permission for our marketing team to view this data as described below. Please know, we have never and never will misuse the personal data we are privileged to store. Additionally, we will never sell your personal data or use personal data collected to single out any given Subscriber. We will always take every precaution possible to digitally protect your data.

Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation’s marketing team gathers, tracks, and stores Subscribers’ personal data in an effort to identify trends in the likeability and interaction with our content, in order to create and deliver more relevant content in the future. When our marketing team produces internal reports on newsletter performance, personal data, as defined above, is removed. For example, reports include data such as the number of new Subscribers, the percent of Subscribers who opened the sent Newsletter, and the number of Subscribers who clicked on a button or link within the Newsletter.

Please note, you may unsubscribe from receiving our Newsletters at any time, which, upon un-subscription, will erase your name and email from our database and no longer gather your personal data. If you would like to change your email preferences, you can do so by clicking on “Update your preferences” or “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of the AARBF burn bulletin email.

In the interest of honesty and transparency, and in response and compliance to new data regulations, we’ve updated our privacy policy, below. Please know that we value the privacy of your personal data and our policies will continue to reflect this.
