Join AARBF and your friends from Champ Camp for an outdoor adventure in Calaveras Big Tree National Forest. Spend the weekend kayaking, rock climbing, and fishing in Alpine Lake!

The Outdoor Trip is an opportunity to learn new skills, helping to provide a sense of accomplishment while enjoying the beaty of the great outdoors. Our goal is for each participant to experience a weekend full of challenge, success, laughter and friendship.

This trip begins Friday and ends Sunday afternoon. Attendees are not required to participate in all of the activities but they are greatly encouraged to try. Instructors, from the local Search and Rescue, are on-site to assist with rock climbing to ensure the safety of our campers. All meals for this weekend are included. A small fee, typically $5, may be required. This event is staffed by AARBF personnel and full screened volunteers.

*Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation has decided to convert our 2020 Outdoor Trip into a virtual program.

This year we won’t be able to head into the mountains but we still wanted to get together to spend time with our favorite friends, counselors and games!
