Jan Share is the glue that holds the organization together, working with the staff to make sure we make a difference in the lives of burn survivors and burn prevention. She joined the AARBF team as a volunteer while participating in LA Valley Fellows program in September 2013. In January 2014, she was hired part-time as the Office Manager in the Burbank office, and as of June 2014, was hired full time as the Operations Assistant. In January 2016, she was promoted to Operations Manager, supporting all regions and the Executive Director with programs, services, volunteer management, development, Salesforce, logistics and administration. She was a family member of a burn survivor and therefore has a personal connection to the cause and knowledge of the needs of burn survivors. On April 23, 2016, she completed the Phoenix Society SOAR Peer Supporter training at UC Irvine Regional Burn Center. She is a graduate of California State University, Northridge, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Prior to coming to the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation, Jan worked in business finance, where she gained the skills to manage our three offices. For the past three years, she has been administering two scholarships: the Woody and Louise Bridge to Life Scholarship, which gives burn survivors and their families with a financial need a path to pursue higher education, and the World Burn Congress Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to burn survivors to go to World Burn Congress, giving them a chance to bond with other burn survivors.
