Zan joined AARBF in the spring of 2007. Zan graduated from NYU with a degree in film and political science. She has worked as both a producer and screenwriter. While working with at risk youth at the Museum of Tolerance she created curriculum for “Tools for Tolerance for Teens", and worked as a research analyst on hate groups and domestic terrorists. Previously she ran a recovery home for addicts and alcoholics for four years. Zan was burned at age five and brings her experiences as a survivor to the foundation.
As Survivor Services Coordinator , Zan plans activities and events for burn survivors, visits burn survivors during their hospital stay and assists with support groups in the Southern California Region .
