Prior to joining the AARBF Staff, Bonita worked as the Admissions Counselor for the Fresno Satellite office of the San Jose Job Corps Center where she helped low-income, at risk youth enter an educational and vocational training program. Previous to that position, she worked at California State University, Fresno as a Counselor Intern in the Educational Opportunity Program, which provides an array of services to support first-generation, low-income, educationally disadvantaged college students.

Some of Bonita's favorite local activities are attending Grizzlies games, visiting Woodward Park and, of course, Chaffee Zoo. She also enjoys visiting her two favorite spots in the Central Coast: the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Morro Bay. She describes herself as a voracious reader, movie enthusiast and a culinary novice with great aspirations.
