Meet Daniel "Apollo" Chacon, Camps & Recreation Senior Coordinator

AARBF has a new Camps & Recreation Senior Coordinator in Daniel "Apollo"Chacon. Daniel worked for Cal Fire as seasonal fire fighter, and has extensive service experience with nonprofits. He has served as logistics coordinator for Tijuana Outreach which benefitted an orphanage, has been a volunteer putting on events, activities and tutoring at a recreational yard for children ages 2-22, and has served at a soup kitchen.

Peninsula Firefighters Burn Relay Raises $76K+

Fire departments throughout the Bay Area donated $76,802 to the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation on the September 2 Peninsula Firefighters Burn Relay. Burn survivors and a radio celebrity joined members of the fire service and AARBF staff to ride in a caravan of more than 30 fire trucks and other emergency response vehicles.
