Nine burn survivors ages 11-19 wriggled into wetsuits and rode waves in the 2nd annual Surf and Kayak Camp in Morro Bay, September 26-28, 2008.
"My favorite
part of the weekend is the excitement the kids get the first time
they stand up and ride a wave. A couple of kids got the surf bug
and went out again for a couple of hours more after lunch,"
said Kitty "Kit Kat" Brunner, who organizes the
event with her husband Mark "Bru" Brunner. The
weekend is hosted by the Central Coast volunteers of the Alisa Ann

Hook
& Ladder Ball Sails with Success
"It was

whole table dressed as "Gilligan's Island" characters.
It all contributed to a festive evening," said Emily Goldman,
emcee at the 6th Annual Hook & Ladder Ball, October 25, 2008 more...
