Retreat
Offers Life Learning & Fun for Young Adults
Young
adults face a particular, sometimes difficult, set of issues for
the first time: Career. Relationships. Education. Life skills.
Burn survivors
ages 17-20 can focus on life management, career, education, goals
and relationship skills through activities at the Alisa Ann Ruch
Burn Foundation's Young Adult Summit. This February 13-16,
2009, the 13th Annual Summit will be held in Cambria, Calif., at
Camp Ocean Pines. The retreat has been held every President's Day
weekend for the past 12 years.
"It taught
me a lot. There was a session that taught you about finding jobs,
about general things to know in life and how to be happy doing them,"
said Svetlana, age 18. She'll return to the Summit this February
for her second year more...
