Oakland A's honor firefighters and raise funds for AARBF

On September 11, local firefighters will be honored at the Oakland A's Firefighter Appreciation Night, a night game against the Boston Red Sox.

Bay Area firefighters will participate in an on-field, pregame ceremony, including the ceremonial first pitch, unfurling of a large flag in centerfield, a moment of silence for those who lost their lives in the line of duty and standing alongside A's players during the singing of the National Anthem. During the game, fire and burn prevention PSAs will run on the A's video board.

Gitty-up to the Wild West Getaway!

The Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation is calling all adult burn survivors 18 years old and over to join us Labor Day Weekend, September 4-6, for the Wild West Getaway. Bring your immediate family and significant others for a rip-roaring time at Camp Oakhurst in Coarsegold. We've got a daisy of a program for everyone, from Kids Club to survivor workshops and paintball, to name just a few activities. And don't forget to put on your best bib and tucker for this year's Talent Show. This is gonna be a ho-down to remember more...
