Burn Prevention Education

Fires kill nearly 500 children each year. Through community events, partnering fire departments, open houses, schools, hospitals and other agencies, AARBF is able to reach hundreds of families to provide practical, lifesaving information. To request a booth and volunteer at an event please fill out a prevention request form.

The majority of fire-related deaths (70%) are caused by smoke inhalation.**

Approximately 4 out of 10 home fire deaths occur in homes without smoke alarms.***
